Webserver to the rescue…

After several (of many!) occasions that somehow after adding more than ten virtual domain to host, the machine wend awry, several times lockup and needed to be rebooted (hard!).

The machine itself is pretty modes one: 2.66 Ghz P4 with just 512 Mb memory (sigh)

Memory usage that spike all the time plus the processing power that not so great, what a combination huh?!

So, after fidling here and there on the httpd.conf try to figure out how to minimalist usage power, I give up.

Compile the lighttpd, migrating all the virtual host in about 6 hour straight. I’m done. For now. :P

Let see how thing’s going with this new configurations.

NB:
Yeah I know, it more easily just to plunge 1 or more Gb RAM than what I try to accomplish.
But hey… I think the hero geek in me just want to get my hands dirty, that’s all. :D
