After the much anticipation release of squid 3... it's there... finally...
In a rush and hurry I implement it in our main backbone cache proxy server, adjusting here and there (mostly the configuration due to change in squid3 from squid2)...
And voila!
Up and running in no time.
Thing's that still a glitch to me, that the delay_pool status per ip is not logged although the delay_pool itself working properly.
Well... still watching and monitoring on how it goes in couple of days... hope there's no unexpected surprise... 
UPDATE:
Well... the delay pool is just not logged but also doesn't work... back to the 2 stable for now...
